Musicdawn 7 Sides Mixes – Funk, Soul, Gospel, R&B, Old School Rap 45s

A series of 7 small mixes that I recorded for from my Youtube channel in 2017-2018. The idea was simple: 7 tracks in each mix (7 sides of the forty-fives) and each mix was in a specific subgenre. I love this format and have come up with new mix ideas over the years and I hope to continue this series soon. In the meantime, I propose to listen to what is already cooked!)

Musicdawn 7 Sides #7 : 7 Sides Of Same God – Black Gospel Soul & Funk 45’s Mix 2018
Musicdawn 7 Sides Of Same God – Black Gospel Soul & Funk 45’s Mix 2018
Hi soul brothers and sisters! Here comes the 7th part of my “7 sides mix” serie. And today it’s time for gospel music. The mix begins with Larry Gunter & Silver Trumpets soft funky gospel song “Same God” and it flows through different black gospel religious vibes to its apogee with rare deep gospel funk 45 with the same song title “Same God” by Waynesboro, Virginia gospel group “The New Generation”. Gospel experts may notice that couple of 45’s in this set have far better flip-sides rather than i used in the mix… I know it, and keep them in mind for future gospel mixes.
As always – original vinyl 45’s only mix.

3rd installment in my series of short mixes. This time it’s 7 sides of rare sweet soul and heavy beat ballads. Original vinyl 45’s only.
Actually i’ve planned to record mix with sweet & deep soul tunes for a long long time. But i’d always found reasons to postpone it for later. But last month i’d received a nice offer to sell my copy of Inner Soul – Put The Hurt On You on Cherries, that i couldn’t resist as i was in big need of money. In my head this 45 was always a key tune for my deep sweet soul funk selection mix. And as i had no enough cool quality music material for a long deep soul mix, i though it would be a good idea to burn a mini mix for my 7 sides podcast serie. So I took myself in hand and in one day before shipping the record, I recorded this long-planned mini mix. Actually i’ve burned 2 takes with the same 45’s but in different order. Maybe i’ll post second take another day or will use it in other projects. Right now my copy of Inner Soul 45 already found it’s new home and new happy owner.
